  On the public screen I have indicated ‘follow’ and the icon has signalled acceptance, but I do not get an email alert. Others do. What am I doing wrong?

  Hi there,

  You are following that site, but you don’t have email notifications for it enabled. Unless your default settings under https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/subscriptions/ are set to automatically subscribe to a site via email when you follow it, following will only add the site to your Reader feed.

  To enable email notifications for a site you’re already following, go to https://wordpress.com/following/manage, find your site in the list of sites you’re following, and click on Settings. Select the email notification option you want there.
