  After entering my username and password, I get a ‘Fatal Error’ message and therefor I can not do anything to website. I need help!

  Your site is using WordPress.org software which is hosted on another host having name Servers:wns137.hostgator.com wns138.hostgator.com so WordPress.com forum is not the right place to get the solution for your question. You can post your question in WordPress.org forum:

  Hi sorry, I had a web developer set up my site so I am pretty clueless about this stuff. I am told I have to find my FTP username and password and my host. Is my host wordpress or hostgator?

  Your Name Servers are: wns137.hostgator.com
  wns138.hostgator.com so hosting is on Hostgator.

  can someone please tell me what the error in this file is?

  and maybe how to fix it?

  As @shubhamgmath already said your website is not hosted by us (WordPress.com). It is using the self-hosted version of WordPress and it is hosted by Hostgator. Therefore, you need to contact them regarding your issue.
