I can’t get the “Add Image” box to go away.
-
When I want to upload an image in a post or on a page, I am able to bring up the “Add Image” box, select my image, add the caption, all that and then click on “post picture”.
While you have this box up, the page you’re editing or post you’re creating is in shadow. So I can see that the image gets posted.
Once that happens, the “Add Image” box goes blank and won’t go away. I can’t get back to the editing screen to publish or save the page.
I am able to use the tab key to select certain things on my dashboard and even to advance the curser on the post. However, I cannot get this box to go away and let my editing screen come out of shadow. The only thing I’ve been able to do is select “my dashboard” at the top of the screen and it will warn me that leaving this page will cause me to lose what I’ve been working on.
I’ve tried clearing out my cache and cookies, browser history, all that.
HELP!!!!!
This is driving me nuts!
If I can’t post pictures, then wordpress isn’t what I’m looking for, KWIM? -
Can we get a direct link to your blog, starting with http? We invariably need to look at the blog to help you.

I have actually had this issue several times. I wasn’t sure if it was my computer or wordpress. I found that after a while it didn’t happen anymore so I’m assuming it was my computer. But, it hasn’t happened to me since wordpress2.7 though. I just recommend waiting a while and then re-trying it. It also could be a server issue, but then again I know nothing about the intricacies of servers.

Have you tried force-refreshing the page when it hangs (view menu refresh or reload)? For me when things were hanging with the last big upgrade, refreshing caused the flash window to disappear.
