I can’t get my images to go larger. I changed the size in the media library, but it doesn’t look any bigger. Is it because I’m not premium, or is it the theme?

I see that the images there are 500px, which matches the medium size on the Settings > Media page.
If you want the images to be bigger, try inserting them at the large size at the time you add the image to the post. You could practice it by editing the post I linked above and removing one of the medium-sized images and then adding it back as a large one from the media library.
