I can't get to the Extensions menu..Why?

  Hello,

  I would like to install an extension to my blog(a contact form extension).
  I searched the web to find how to do that. They all say you should use the extension menu and the command add new.
  Ok, that’s fine! Apart that this extensions menu, that seems to be located between the Appearance en users menus, will not appear on my admin page!!. This is a bit frustrating!
  Any advice?

  I was looking for the same answer. According to this post, you have to use wordpress.org not wordpress.com to use extensions and plug-ins.
  This is unfortunate for me. At the moment I am trying to learn and understand the capabilities of WordPress to determine if I want to use it. I am not ready to commit to spending money on this.

  Hi,
  I have the same problem.
  I do not see the extension menu.
  At first, I tought that it was related to the fact my wordpress is in french…
  But I really do need to find out where to see the menu and use it.
  Is there anyone who can help me with that?

  There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs like the one linked to your username and we cannot install individual plugins or third party themes into them. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

  On free hosted wordpress.COM blogs we can only use the themes which have been coded to run on this multi-user software and made available to us here. > Appearance > Themes and no others.   If you wish to have complete control over a blog, the ability to upload themes and plugins, and to edit themes and templates then your option is to hire a web host and get a free software install from WordPress.ORG and self host it.
