I cant get zuki to work anywhere close to how it works in demo

zuki doesn’t work per demo. Customization menu does not allow for anything close to the customizations featured in demo.
Looked at Zuki’s vimeo tutorial and the functionality of the theme I am using on wordpress IS NOT THEREThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Melanie,
Since you mentioned the video tutorial, I’m assuming you already found the information here:
https://wordpress.com/themes/zuki/support/
I just setup Zuki on a new test blog and it looked all the functions I needed in the Customizer were there. Your site with Zuki is currently has theme Twenty Twelve activated though, so I’m not able to test your site for any Customizer errors related to Zuki.
In general, these are the different parts to setting up Zuki’s front page like it is in the demo:
- Create a page with the “Front Page” template, no content necessary, then set it as a static front page
- Tag multiple posts with your Featured Content tag to create the slider
- Add widgets to the variety of widget areas (lots of these)
- Create 3 custom menus, and set them to Zuki’s three menu locations
Which of these were you unable to do? I can walk you through them step-by-step.

OK i just reviewed the the zuki training video on-line. Just for starters: In setting up static front page: on the demo after you have set up a page and titled it “front” the instruction is to click on appearance on the the left bar and then “customize”. In the wordpress.com version I keep trying to make work, when you hit “customize” a wide blue bar comes up on the right with VERY LIMITED custom options.
In the demo, when the customize->appearance button is pressed a MUCH MORE EXTENSIVE menu comes up on the LEFT.
I went through the video frame by frame switching back and forth between my website and the video and IT CANT BE DONE. The app used in the demo is a different product than the app i paid for and tried to use.

Hi Melanie,
To setup the features in Zuki, you need to have the theme activated. You currently have the theme Twenty Twelve activated, so any Zuki-only features will not be available in the Customizer or in /wp-admin/ until you activate Zuki.
Similarly, to complete that first step of setting up a static front page, you’ll also need Zuki activated. After creating the page “Front” you need to set it to the Front Page template — which will only be available if Zuki is activated.
In the wordpress.com version I keep trying to make work, when you hit “customize” a wide blue bar comes up on the right with VERY LIMITED custom options.
In the demo, when the customize->appearance button is pressed a MUCH MORE EXTENSIVE menu comes up on the LEFT.Almost everything available in the Customizer is available in various parts of the /wp-admin/ dashboard. The /wp-admin/ is certainly more extensive, but but we’ve tried to make the Customizer easier to work in for the functions most commonly used. It also gives you the advantage of seeing previewing how the changes affect your site.
But if you prefer working in /wp-admin/ that’s definitely good!
With Zuki though, you will need to use the Customizer to access the Featured Content settings, and the additional header and footer settings.
