I can’t “google” or “bing” my blog by it’s name-taco shops show up. How, besides giving the wordpress address, do I have friends look it up?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

A one day old blog with just a bit of content – search engines?? Not a chance – takes 4 to 6 weeks to index a new site and that is only if you have content on it worth indexing.

It can take weeks for search engines to index your blog. It’s publishing posts, not pages that attracts search engine attention.

Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don’t feel panicky about this please.
WordPress.com provides the search engines with site maps. We bloggers do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/
