I can’t insert image to a post
-
I tried to insert an image in a blog post directly upload it from my PC but a error code turns up:
“Unable to create directory /usr/home/my domain/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2009/04. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”
how can I solve this problem? Anyone?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, the answer is the error message.
It looks like “/usr/home/my domain/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2009/04” is not writable.
Ideally, the “uploads” directory should have permissions of 755

Sometimes I wanted to upload a picture from my computer (or maybe change my header using my photo), but the loading took such a long time, and sometimes it says it can’t upload. But sometimes I can do it well, too. Please help, thanks. http://www.ayundabhuwana.wordpress.com/

I’m having an image insertion problem as well. I just started a blog which will feature my editorial cartoons. I uploaded the first jpg to the media area, and inserted it into my post. No problem when I view it in Safari. But when I view it in Firefox, it shows a broken link. I decided to kill the image and start the whole thing over, using the dashboard in Firefox, not Safari, but got the same problem. It’s visible in Safari, but always shows a broken link in Firefox. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

same issue here, after a year of no problems i’ve been fighting this for a month.
chmod 755 on uploads, check/uncheck organized folder structure, nothing works. http://www.baby.lench.us -
@daniellench, you are in the wrong forum. This forum is for those hosted here at wordpress.COM. For self-hosted wordpres installs, you need to inquire over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ which is where self-hosted blogs are supported.
