I cant load photos and have lost the theme of Sydney

  I have been following directions on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDNTAYLb_vQ and it seems easy to load Sydney however when I was finished I had a black screen and none of my photos loaded and the rest of the site is blank.
  What have I done wrong?

  Sydney is a theme used on WordPress.ORG sites. https://wordpress.org/themes/sydney/

  It cannot be used on any wordpress.COM hosted site that lacks the Business plan upgrade. https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#uploading-custom-themes

  The theme is a WordPress.ORG theme https://wordpress.org/themes/sydney/

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.   I am really confused – I followed the instructions and joined hostgator and that took days for them to activate me – then followed the instructions so I thought.
  I just want a web page I can change the photos in and write my on words in and change and update all the time as well as have a blog.
  Hopefully as time goes on I can have a page where I sell things.
  My main goal is to get people to email me and come to my gallery.
  Which way is best for me to go?
  I am not clever at this stuff but if I have video insturctions I usually do ok.

  Yes your site is on Hostgator nameservers and it is a WordPress.ORG site. I have tagged this thread for a Staff response.

  HI, thank you.
  Wordpress.org does not recognise me or my email address – only wordpress.com does – what am I doing wrong.
  I can see that I wanted to be with .org because of the add on features that I will want to use for seo later on.
