I can't log into my blog.

I cannot log into my blog, poolephotographyblog.com. I have tried my email (email visible only to moderators and staff). WordPress keeps telling me it doesn’ exist. Yet I have posted 7 blogs and as of Wednesday, June 18th, the (email visible only to moderators and staff) has been getting email from WordPress. Furthmore, in order to write this, I need to log in, which I couldn’t. Thankfully I had an old blog that I had cancelled that let me in to this site. Frustrated.

You’ve opened a number of threads on the same topic. This doesn’t help as it makes people run around to various threads.

I’ve tagged this for Staff assistance, please be patient while they get back to you.

If you need to see your previous threads, click on the username link at the top of the page where it says “Welcome poolephotography” or the word “Member” under your username.

Very fair point. But from my point of view nobody was responding to the first two threads and the only one being responded to was closed to further comment. I gladly would have deleted the other threads if I could have found a way to. But thank you for tagging me for staff assistance, which is all I wanted in the first place.

I can’t log into my blog as well “New Literacies for Developmental Education”; I tried the three !!!! accounts I have and none of them list this blog. I want to update it.

@poolephotography, you need to be logged in to post in the forums, and it shows you are using the username “poolephotography” but that isn’t the username on file for http://poolephotographyblog.com/

Is it possible you are logged in to one account already and your browser is getting mixed up when you try to log in to the other or is it possible you are typing the login information incorrectly? Can you try logging out from the poolephotography account and logging back in with the other username instead of using your email address as the username? Testing that should be a good next step and we can continue troubleshooting from there if you’re still having trouble.

@daverdg, it sounds like you might not be using the right login credentials. Could you please post back here with the full URL of the blog you are trying to access and the username you are trying to log in as?

I am trying to edit this blog that I created in 2008 called “New Literacies for Developmental Educators” located at:

    http://dcaverly.wordpress.com/

Over the years I have created three accounts:

(email visible only to moderators and staff)

(email visible only to moderators and staff)

and I thought (email visible only to moderators and staff)

None of these will let me access that blog. So, I created another in (email visible only to moderators and staff) for the workshop I am doing next week called “New Literacies In Developmental Education” changing the “for”, though it is private now.

Thanks for the info. First, you shouldn’t be adding @wordpress.com to the end of usernames, a username should be entered without anything like that at the end of it.

I checked the dcaverly.wordpress.com blog and there are several users listed on that account, but only one current administrator. The email address ends with “txstate.edu”. If that doesn’t sound familiar, then you may not be able to gain administrator access to that blog. If you can think of the correct username on file for the administrator account, try entering it into the lost password form:
    http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

I figured out the problem for me. Wednesday I went to GoDaddy and changed my email. GoDaddy changed my poolephotographblog login email as well. I did not know it would do that. As a lark, I asked wordpress to send my password to the new email, and that worked. Who knew? Probably many, by I sure didn’t. Thanks for the help
