I can't log into my site to edit
-
I went to try to edit my new site, and I don’t remember my log – in information, as I have created more than one site. Embarrassed. HELP. Address is https://aromatherapyworksblog.wordpress.com/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Hi,
Don’t be embarrassed it happens all the time :). Here is a link that will help you recover your information.
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
Good luck!

Still does not work. Every time I go to WordPress.com to even try logging in, (and there’s nowhere to do that), it pulls up my other site.
When I type in the URL to the site I want to work on, then go to edit, it pulls up my other site.
Makes no sense. PLEASE – is there someone that can walk me through this on the phone?
-
Even MORE strange, I can have the page up by typing the URL into the search bar, and when I try to edit it pulls up my other site. I don’t know how to access this new site!
-
Hi,
Yes, that does seem strange. Let me tag MODLOOK for a staff member to reach out to you.
To confirm, this is the address?
-
Note that this username account https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/aromatherapyworksblog is an exact match to the site URL https://aromatherapyworksblog.wordpress.com/
What I post below applies only to sites hosted by WordPress.COM. It does not apply to WordPress>ORG software installs.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by WordPress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with the actual blog’s name in that URL.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login correctly under the relevant username account.
You can update your email address here https://wordpress.com/me at any time.
If you did not register the site under your username account and do not have the required access, then you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it, and have them act or transfer the site to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
If the login information has been lost go to
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#lost-passwordThere is only one means of account recovery.
If you check each and every possible email address and account and are not successful gaining access to the blog(s) then you must complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access.
Support Staff cannot breach the privacy policy and provide the log-in information. You have to provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff to gain access https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

@jonnajerome, or @jonnakjerome,
Every time I go to WordPress.com to even try logging in, (and there’s nowhere to do that), it pulls up my other site.
If you’re logged into one account and site and try to log into another site in a different account without logging out the first, or using another browser, then WordPress.com just keeps you in the first account and site.
You’ve posted under two different accounts in this thread (usernames jonnajerome, and jonnakjerome), and the site you are trying to log into is in yet a third account, with username aromatherapyworksblog. The problems you mention with regard to being directed to the wrong site are due to being logged into one account, while trying to access another. In order to properly address the lost password issue on the new account, you should log out of each of the other accounts, or use a different browser for the attempts to gain access to the new account.
Once you’re either logged out of the other accounts or in a different browser than used while presently logged into one or both of the other accounts, then follow the procedure outlined in the Lost Password section of the Passwords support page. If that fails then see the Account Recovery Form section of the Account Recovery page.
