I can't log on…and other issues

So I tried to perform some wordpress.com hygeine. It had been a while and I wanted to eliminate some dead sites. Anyway, long story short, my username and password no longer works, even though I just used them to log in an hour ago. I’m currently in but I can’t do anything with any of my sites. And when i ask for a new password update to be emailed to me (like I did hours ago), I don’t get anything in my inbox. What am I doing wrong?

That’s the thing: I can log into WordPress.com without a hitch. Then I go to my list of 8 sites. I click on one and it makes me log in again. And that’s where it all breaks down. I can’t get in to my own site, brandsareopinions.com though in the site list, it has a yellow circle with arrows in it and a note saying “there are updates available.” So obviously, I can’t post. Weird.

Can I ask you another question Supernovia? On November 6, 2014, I brought WordPress Premium for a website I had for a while called dennisryaninc.com. It auto-renewed on 10/7/15 and then recently on 10/6/16. But I don’t even have that site. Now I’m paying for ten months on a site that doesn’t exist. Is it possible to get that transferred over to brandsareopinions.com?

Okay, @brandsareopinions.com is a Jetpack-connected, self managed installation. It looks like it’s at Hostmonster. If you can’t log in there, can you maybe get in touch with them and ask to get a backup restored? You can also ask for help in the WordPress.org community forums: https://wordpress.org/support
If you aren’t able to log in via wp-admin, our interface (which uses your connection) likely won’t work either, so you’ll want to get that fixed, then try again here.

About dennisryaninc.com – you did have this site until you canceled your upgrades and deleted it a few days ago. We had paid for the domain renewal already because we didn’t know you didn’t want it. But I think I can still refund the rest for you.
