I can't login in my account!

    Hello wordpress,

    When i was thinking of using wordpress as a platform i have tried it by using a dummy account. The current one canarytips1 registered with my e-mail address (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    Then I have created a new account Canary Tips with payed hosting from HostGator by using the same e-mail. The hosting is payed for the next 3 years. Unfortunately, for me i’ve used the same e-mail (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    My computer was old and I have changed it with a new one. And now when i am trying to log in my account i can’t, because when i try to reset the password it is resting the password for canarytips1.
    I’ve tried to open the account from my old computer and i have tried to change the e-mail to (email visible only to moderators and staff) but it is not working. The only thing that happened is that i have received an e-mail that i am changing the e-mail. Unfortunately, for me i can’t reset my password.

    Hi @canarytips1,

    Let me try to recap what you’re dealing with. For your privacy, all the email addresses have been automatically redacted, which is good. I want to make sure I’m following.

    You have two accounts you want to control:

    • WordPress.com (canarytips1)
    • Host Gator (also a username like “Canary Tips”)

    They both use the same email address.

    The problem: you can access this account (WordPress.com) but cannot access Host Gator. Your password reset attempts do not let you access Host Gator.

    You are able to access your WordPress.com account, but not Host Gator.

    If this is accurate, you will need to get the help you need to access your Host Gator account from their support. We don’t have any way of accessing your Host Gator account. Head over here for help:

    Hi there,

    Your login details with Hostgator has nothing to do with your WordPress.com account. That login is stored directly in your site’s database on Hostgator’s servers, and we have no access to or control over it. Our password reset process won’t help you gain access to that site.
