I can’t login to my website

    Hello WordPress,

    I had a website http://www.jonasalteneder.de and I could login to the website’s dashboard by typing my website/wp-admin.

    I downloaded the WordPress App onto my phone and created a new account using the same name and password and logged in.

    Later I tried to login to the wp-admin adress to check my dashboard but it would tell me that I don’t have any page or name that’s registered to the login page.

    So by downloading the app and creating an account I kind of wiped my website.

    Can someone help?

    Hi there:

    WordPress.com accounts are different from the account you use to log into your site. WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress.org sites are different entities. Visit the following link to learn the differences:

    https://wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    What you used to log into the WordPress app was your newly created WordPress.com account, which would report you don’t have any websites because you don’t have any sites hosted here at WordPress.com.

    Log out of that account in the app, then follow the steps here to add your website:

    https://apps.wordpress.com/support/mobile/my-sites/how-do-i-connect-my-site/

    NOTE: You will need to install the Jetpack plugin and connect it to your newly created WordPress.com account to use the app.
