I can’t login to this site…it’s like my login details have been wiped

    I’m not sure I understood your question, since the only site I see under your account currently is awarriorsjourney.wordpress.com, which you can confirm here: https://wordpress.com/sites/

    Is there some other site you are trying to access instead? If so what is the URL so we can take a closer look, thanks!

    The website I’m trying to access is wingchunsp.co.uk …I may have linked it to a site I no longer use/have/didn’t renew

    The above site is still up and running but was down a few weeks ago with a server 404 error, I think..

    It came live again of its own accord but now I can’t get in to admin…

    That site is up and running however it isn’t connected to a wordpress.com account for login. You can log in at https://wingchunsp.co.uk/wp-login.php using the credentials you choose when you set up that site.

    Thanks for your advice. I’m afraid that this is issue, I can’t login there with the credet as I remember them, every attempt fails…

    Sadly, we are very limited with what help we can provide as the site in question is not hosted by us. We don’t have any access to it for troubleshooting.

    What we offer here at WordPress.com is a managed hosting solution. This means that you are able to focus on the content, while our team handles every back end detail. Things like updates, spam, security, seo, and so forth…

    Those details are not attended to when running a stand alone WordPress installation unless the hosting provide specifies that they take care of those things. Since you’re already having trouble this might be a good time to make a switch.

    Thank you, I think I’ll go this route. Just one question: do I have to rebuild the site from scratch, or can I simply transfer “as is”?

    To move your existing site here you’ll obviously need to gain access to your existing site first.

    As @themagicrobot points out, it’s not possible to export content on that site unless you have access to it. Your other option would be to copy/paste text from wingchunsp.co.uk into a new site here on WordPress.com. That would allow you to build the site using one of our templates, but save you some effort by copying over the page text.

    Another option you could consider is to have our team build a new site for you. They could reference your existing site and build something with similar branding in mind, or you can use the opportunity to come up with a new look. More info here: https://wordpress.com/do-it-for-me/
