I can't post anything

    I recently started my blog on here and I have multiple pages to click on, but I can only post ONE blog post on each of them. I want to post more than one, and after I type it out under write new post and hit publish, it says published but it doesn’t show on any of my pages. I am so confused! Please HELP! Thank you :)

    Hi there,

    You are a lot further along than you realize :)

    Understanding the difference between a Post and a Page can be a real help when it comes to learning and understanding WordPress. I’d recommend going over this article first:

    I think that article will clear things up enough to then go over the process of setting up your Front page. This will explain the available options to display either a ‘Static page’ or ‘Your latest posts’ on your home page.

    Hello,
    Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I think I have it cleared up between the difference of pages and posts. But, I still haven’t been able to see my other post’s on a single page.

    No worries @sincerelydoni.

    You will want to go over https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ on setting up a Front Page, as well as this info that is available for the Sela theme you are using: https://wordpress.com/themes/sela/

    There are 2 ways to display your Front page – which is the also the Home page:

    • A Static Page
    • A page that displays a list of your latest posts

    The ‘latest posts’ setting is the default setting.

    To use the Static Page setting, you will need to create 2 pages ahead of time. Usually a ‘Home’ page and ‘Blog’ page, but you can name them anything. Using the Home and Blog examples, you would select ‘Home’ as your Static Front page and ‘Blog’ as your blog or Posts page.

    The Sela theme does offer a custom Front Page template that uses the Static Page setting along with some widget areas. (See the ‘Sela’ link above to set this up).

    Once the Front Page is set, then you can create your main menu.

    If you have published a ‘Home’ Page and your Front Page is set to ‘latest posts’, and you want to include a ‘Home’ link in your menu, then select the Home menu item that is labeled as a ‘custom link’.
