  For the last three or four posts, I cannot post anything on my Loves of Snyder County Recipes and Lifestyles page at http://www.marshahubler.wordpress.com
  It keeps telling me I’m disconnected when I try to paste in my WORD document. But I’m not disconnected. I can go to my email account, Pinterest, Facebook, at the same time and work the sites. This is very frustrating. I don’t know what to do to get rid of that “disconnected” message every time I go to post a blog. I have NO trouble posting a blog on the home page, Writers’ Tips at the same URL.

  There is no www in your URL. It is http://marshahubler.wordpress.com/

  Have you got your browser set to accept cookies?

  Try NOT pasting from Word: try making it a plain text document, ie pasting from Word into Notepad or some similar plain text program, then pasting that in.

  Somebody told me to delete all my cookies last week, and I did that. Also, I have already posted 96 times in this same blog over the last two years or so using WORD document cut and paste procedures. It’s only the last two or three times that I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to post after numerous tries, but today, I couldn’t get anything to post at all.

  What worked before CLEARLY does not work now. There are two reasons: the web is always changing, and WP.com did a major change to copy and paste recently, and HTML errors acquired by copy and paste are cumulative, so things go along fine for ages and then BOOM you can’t post anything.

  Go to Settings->Writing and select “WordPress should correct invalid XHTML” and save. Then go to Posts->All Posts and set the most recent 20 posts to Private and then back to Public. That forces the change to take effect. That should help.

  Raincoaster, I followed step one as you suggested, going to SETTINGS>WRITING and selecting “WordPress should correct invalid XHTML” and I saved it. But going to POSTS>ALL POSTS and doing step two doesn’t help because my problem is on the second page. None of those posts are listed in the ALL POSTS. They are listed in PAGES.
  I tried to post again and the same DISCONNECT notice popped up again.
  Can you suggest anything else?
