I can’t post Flickr sliceshow…
-
I have just moved my space from Windows Live Space for half and one months. I found that one of my past post has been broken. The flickr sliceshow can’t be shared here.
In the “share”, there are just URL and embed HTML. I have tried this two ways but none of them worked.
This is the link of the sliceshow: http://www.flickr.com/groups/astrophoto/pool/show/
This is the embed HTML:
<object width=”400″ height=”300″> <param name=”flashvars” value=”offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=%2Fgroups%2Fastrophoto%2Fpool%2Fshow%2F&page_show_back_url=%2Fgroups%2Fastrophoto%2Fpool%2F&group_id=973956@N23&jump_to=&start_index=”></param> <param name=”movie” value=”http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649″></param> <param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”></param><embed type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” src=”http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649″ allowFullScreen=”true” flashvars=”offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=%2Fgroups%2Fastrophoto%2Fpool%2Fshow%2F&page_show_back_url=%2Fgroups%2Fastrophoto%2Fpool%2F&group_id=973956@N23&jump_to=&start_index=” width=”400″ height=”300″></embed></object>
Can anyone help me?

@panaghiotisadam Much to my surprise, I just found out that I can insert a flickr slideshow just by using the url! It’s still in draft form because I was trying out the code from your website. Perhaps I made an error because it appeared as a black box. But right beneath it was the slideshow. I’d pasted the url beneath the sample code for reference!
Looking at a few recent posts on this topic, I found one other person who was able to use the url. I had no idea wordpress.com supported flickr slideshows. Last time I looked it up (months ago) it didn’t.

It does, but they haven’t officially announced it yet. I remember someone a couple of months ago who said his was working, then stopped. I think they’re still tinkering with it.

thanks to everyone.
I have looked at gigya code and I tried to copy it and filled the ID NUMBER and USER NAME.
This is what I made…
[gigya src="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649" width="500" flashvars="offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=%2Fgroups%2Fastrophoto%2Fpool%2F&group_id=973956@N23&show/&page_show_back_url=%2Fgroups%2Fastrophoto%2Fpool%2F&group_id=973956@N23&jump_to=" allowFullScreen="true" ]
I put it in the post but it appeared as a black box…
Is there any mistake? I am sorry I don’t know much computer things…

@electricia1: True, but doesn’t always work.
@lotoslinly: Should have been this:
[gigya src="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649" width="500" flashvars="offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=%2Fgroups%2Fastrophoto%2Fpool%2Fshow%2F&page_show_back_url=%2Fgroups%2Fastrophoto%2Fpool%2F&group_id=973956@N23&jump_to=&start_index=" allowFullScreen="true" ]

If the url method works intermittently, I’m a little leery of using it if there’s another option.
Can you tell me where I went wrong with this code? I went over it 10 times, but cannot get it to appear as anything other than a black box! Thank you…
[gigya src="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649" width="500" flashvars="offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=/photos/27469924@N06/sets/7215762536039348/&page_show_back_url=/photos/27469924@N06/sets/72157625360393486&set_id=72157625360393486&jump_to=" allowFullScreen="true" ]

You’re missing one “show”, and you’re missing the last digit from the first instance of the ID number. Corrected:
[gigya src="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649" width="500" flashvars="offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=/photos/27469924@N06/sets/72157625360393486/show/&page_show_back_url=/photos/27469924@N06/sets/72157625360393486/&set_id=72157625360393486&jump_to=" allowFullScreen="true" ]

Thanks so much! Reading the code is a bit like trying to read a foreign language
I really appreciate your help. The post is important to me because it’s photos of an 81 year old man’s family business that’s being evicted after 40 years )-: Hope to rally people to save it
