I can't publish a post, only allows me to update, help!

I’ve written a post. I’d like to publish it but the publish button has dissapeared. I can only update. How can I now publish this post? thanks!

The Publish button changes to an Update button once the post has either already been published, or has been scheduled to be published.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/Has the publish date been changed? Is the post already showing up on your site.
