Hi,
When you create a new WordPress.com site, it’s publicly visible by default. The site https://enytrishtags.wordpress.com/ is online and publicly visible.

This has not been true for a few months now.
All new sites are private by default, and has to be explicitly launched, either by clicking a banner that appears at the top of the site for admins only, or via My Site ->Manage ->Settings.
But I also don’t see any un-launched sites in this account.

Really? Thanks, I didn’t know that. Is that why I keep seeing, on the sites of some of the members posting forum topics, those beautiful landscape welcome pages with the “Coming Soon” messages?
I created the test site https://2014test2.wordpress.com/ two days ago, never went to My Site > Manage, and don’t recall seeing a banner at the top of the site. How do you explain the fact that my site was immediately publicly visible. I confirmed this just now by visiting it on a different browser on which I’m not logged into the account.

@musicdoc1 ah, it looks like “private by default” was just suspended for a time because it wasn’t working with all sites yet.
