  I can’t receive the two-step verification SMS with my Chinese mobile number.

  The mobile phone number is in working order and is not out of service.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there:

  To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

  1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
  2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
  3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

  Your WordPress.com user account @lilith40404 was just created today and does not have any two-factor/SMS verification set up.

  Are you trying to set up this verification on your new account or are you trying to log into a website and need the SMS code to verify the login? Could you let us know the URL of the website you’re trying to access? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

  My English is not very good but I think mine is the third one.I am using the free wordpress site, https://lilith404.wordpress.com

  Got it. If you have your recovery codes, you can use those to regain access. Otherwise, you’ll need to use the account recovery process. If you’re having trouble with that, please reach out from the address on file at passwordhelp@wordpress.com.
