I can't remove "leave reply" field

I can’t eliminate the “Leave Reply” field on any of my pages (I do not want this feature ANYWHERE). I have unchecked the comment feature (and anything related to commenting) in the Discussion section, and removed any commenting features on the widget section. I have also unchecked the comment box under “Show on screen” on each page. I have tried logging out and logging back in, as well as opening my site in a new, different browser. This is driving me crazy and I don’t know what else I can do!

You need to do the only thing you didn’t do: edit the pages and disable comments. The “Show on screen” options apply to what you see on the dashboard screen, not to what you see on the actual blog page: you need to check the Discussion option, so that the Discussion module will show up, then uncheck the option in the module and update the page.
Faster way: go to Pages > All Pages, hover over the page title, click Quick Edit, uncheck Allow Comments, click Update.
