I can't renew my domain name?

  I’m having problem renewing my domain name. I know it’s expired but why can’t I just renew it here?

  Please go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.

  From what I could figure out, our domain name expired and someone snatched it. Doesnt do anything with it.

  And apparently we would need to go through lots of hoops to negociate with the new owner to get it back. Or go through GoDaddy or something (I think they must have it since their name pops up when we try to get to fondationef.com

  That’s correct, the domain has been registered by somebody else. There’s nothing we can do about that. Though you can also decide to register the same name again but with a different domain extension. For example: fondationef.org , fondationef.net or fondationef.me.
