I can't renew my expiring website!!!

No “renew now” button! No “buy now” button! Nothing. WP support page on this issue says there are such buttons for a Expiring (in red) site on the Upgrade page, but there are none on mine! So how am I to renew?? Nor can I locate ‘renew automatically’ feature. What gives?

What gives is probably that you are not logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased the upgrades for it.

You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog and renew the upgrade.

I can see all my blogs listed, each one shows me as ADMIN, and my blog which is about to expire is listed as ‘primary’.
Some time ago, I changed my email and added a new ‘admin’ for security, so the original ADMIN no longer exists. The default ADMIN which everyone uses initially to create their account is known to be a security risk within WP so it is recommended to remove it. Now that I have, what now?
This seems like a glitch – if someone status is set as ‘admin’ they should be able to renew a site, as they have all other user functions anyway, otherwise their designation would be something other than ‘admin’.

It looks like a different WordPress.com user purchased the domain upgrades and registered the domain. If that was you, please try logging out of your inalejins account and into your other WordPress.com account. If not, you will need to contact the person who owns that account (which has purchased upgrades for several different blogs).

Yes, that’s it! I have several logins for my blogs as an admin, however I assumed that ‘admin’ status would allow me to upgrade & renew regardless of which login I used.

While admins can access all aspects of the site itself, only the user who purchases an upgrade can renew, cancel or modify the upgrade.
