I can't see my blog on search engines

My blog is no longer coming up on any search engines and I can’t seem to fix it.
I have gotten rid of some categories as I heard that it is more than likely the reason as it had more than 15 however, I deleted them about 2 weeks ago and there is still no change.I tried using the google webmaster to get my site to show up again but it wouldn’t work for me.
When it comes to things like this I am pretty clueless as apart from actually keeping up with my blog I know nothing technical when it comes to websites at all so step by step instructions as to what to do next would be appreciated.
It’s got to the point where I’m barely getting any blog views at all and I really want to get it back on the search engines. Please help!
