I can’t see my image on my blog

    I have been searching around and can’t find an answer on past posts…I can see my picture on the editing page exactly how I want it but on the site it doesn’t show up.

    This has been a process: first, I could scroll over the title of the pic and get that “snapshot” view- but I didn’t want that- I got rid of that feature… but still people had to click on the title link to see the pic-

    I want the pic right there on the page- so I got rid of the link by clicking on “none”- so now there’s no snapshot, no link and still no pic. On the edit page it looks right???

    I’ve only tried to put up one pic b/c it didn’t work

    The URL of your image in the src property is wrong. Currently, it reads: 

    src='http://paperjars.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/php9pzu4xam.jpg?w=402&h=536'

    My guess is that you’re using the “visual editor” so, to fix this, you’ll need to click on the “code” button. Once you do that, you’ll see the HTML code of your post. Scroll to the part where your picture should be, the HTML should look something like this:

    <img width='402' height='536' align='left' alt='Techno Mart' src='http://paperjars.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/php9pzu4xam.jpg?w=402&h=536' />

    Remove this part:

    ?w=402&h=536'

    So the img tag reads like this:

    <img width='402' height='536' align='left' alt='Techno Mart' src='http://paperjars.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/php9pzu4xam.jpg' />

    That should fix your problem.

    I did follow the upload instructions, I resized the pic, my connection isn’t slow- and I have read all the tips.

    It looked like devblog had a good solution except when I try to edit the code

    <img align=”left” width=”402″ src=”http://paperjars.wordpress.com/files/2008/01/php9pzu4xam.jpg” alt=”Techno Mart” height=”536″ style=”width: 302px; height: 465px” />

    I don’t see ?w=402&h=536′

    You shouldn’t need it. There was an error at one time that set height to 1 pixel. You can just take the height and width attributes out entirely if it’s already the size you want it.

    Okay- got it fixed somehow!

    Now though- all my old posts have very small font that went italic. When I am in editing mode and looking at the code- I see no tags to change….if I pull up one post to edit and fix the font it looks fine- when I go to “view site” it’s ll italic????
