i can't see my pictures

    None of my pictures are displaying on the blog and I can’t even find them in the Library although I can see the used space from the pictures. Please help.

    Could you please tell me what is missing for your blog? Please give me a blog link, and an idea of what images are missing.

    A bit about missing images:

    If you have placed an item in your media library, and have inserted the video, image, audio, or other media file into a page/post/widget, you CANNOT delete that file from your library or it will appear as “broken” on your website.

    When you insert media into your website or blog, you aren’t actually adding the actual image. Instead, you are adding the address of an image that resides in your Media Library.

    When a browser (like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) reads the code for your website, it interprets the code and displays it in the lovely way you’ve configured. It reads the addresses for your media, and displays those items visually for your readers to enjoy.

    Like a real library, it’s almost as if your media file is “borrowed” from your library to display on screen. If you delete the file from your Media Library, you’re permanently removing the item from your library.

    The address for that file is still saved on your post or page. So, when a visitor looks at your site, their browser reads the media file’s address and tries to “borrow” it from your library. When it’s not found, it will appear broken to your readers.

    That is why it’s important not to de-clutter your Media Library to the point where you delete files that you want to appear in your previously published posts and pages.

    A follow up:

    I wanted to make sure you’re addressing your site hosted her at WordPress.com, rather than a self-hosted WordPress.org site.

    I cannot be too helpful with a self-hosted site, since I don’t have access to your folders on your new server.
