I can't see unique visitors under my site stats
-
Hi there, I am trying to find the number of page views my blog gets per month along with the number of unique visitors my blog gets per month. When I click on site stats, I can see the views in light blue, but I don’t have the dark blue bar. Am I doing something wrong or can I not get that information anymore?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you! So nice of you to say.
So, if I have a blogger program I am looking at getting into and they ask for unique visitors, can I just tell them visitors??

You say you have only WordPress.com stats and they do not count uniques. And don’t bother applying to advertising programs like Adsense, if that’s what you’re applying for. Paid posts and blogger-initiated paid ads are banned here.
Quantcast.com might give you a better idea of uniques.

No. It’s not a program for ads. I’m part of Word Ads already. It’s for the site Healthy Aperture and their blogger network where they connect you with brands, etc. And I could possibly get products to try out and review. Stuff like that. I’ll look at quantcast.com. Thanks!

Note that getting a product for free in exchange for a review is generally frowned on here and may, at staff discretion, lead to getting your blog suspended. It doesn’t always, if it’s a rare thing, but if it’s the regular thing in your blog, it will. And if you only post positive reviews of free products, it DEFINITELY will get your blog suspended.
I will flag this for staff to give a ruling on.

My blog is a recipe blog. Always has been and always will be. Every month I showcase something that is my favorite product of the month and I also throw in a restaurant review from time to time. I am always honest in my reviews of things. Up until now these have all been my choice and I have received no compensation. I recently found a blogger network that I can apply to which connects bloggers with brands for reviewing products, hosting giveaways, etc. in exchange for promotion, product and maybe compensation. I of course would only be honest in my opinion, but I wouldn’t accept to review anything that does not appeal to me so there will always be something positive in my review along with any negative things I found. I am purely trying to supplement what I make through Word Ads because this blog is my income and I hope to grow it into a business one day down the road. I will always be a food blog with recipes as 80% of what I post. On a seperate thread I was told that this is okay to do. If joining that blogger network and reviewing products from time to time is not okay please let me know so that I can look into self hosting my site if I decide to do this. Also please let me know if I am allowed to sell ebooks or products I create myself through my blog because those are things that I would one day like to do. The only thing I was aware of not being ok is using other ad networks since I belong to Word Ads. Thanks for your time.

Hello there! Your sponsored posts are fine as-is. If you have concerns about our advertising policies, you can take a look at:

I really do appreciate your concern and diligence (raincoaster, you too, of course!) when it comes to honoring our Terms of Service. Also please let me know if I am allowed to sell ebooks or products I create myself through my blog because those are things that I would one day like to do.
This is absolutely fine. As long as the products are entirely of your creation, it is okay to sell them via your WordPress.com site. If you decide to grow your business in the future and wish to start a full e-commerce site that sells products other than your own, you will have to upgrade to our Business package. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I thought all was ok, but the response to this thread worried me that I missed something. My readers love the giveaways and I am always honest about my reviews. But really, I usually do reviews of things that I use myself and just love them so much that I want to review them! The companies that do giveaways so far have contacted me after they see me using their stuff to offer a giveaway, so that’s been pretty cool.
As of now, anything I sell will be entirely of my invention, but thanks for the info should that change! I really appreciate all your help throughout my journey, you guys have a fabulous support system for us not so knowledgeable people! And my blog was featured in your twenty fourteen theme as an example which was so awesome for me since I started this process knowing zero and only learned what I have with all your support. So thanks again!

Thank you so much for your response! We can tell how much care and energy you put into your site. A terrific example of Twenty Fourteen :) Keep up the great work and thanks for being such a thoughtful member of the WordPress.com community!
