I can’t seem to receive verification email when I tried to update admin email

I tried updating my admin email and it says I will get a verification email before it will totally replace the old one. Now, I didn’t get an email from WordPress. Why is that so? If you can help me please, that would be great. Thanks!

The most common reason for the verification email not appearing is that it has been aggressively filtered into your Spam or Promotions folder, so please double-check those locations first. If the email is definitely not there, the issue is likely that your hosting server is struggling to send PHP-generated emails, which is a frequent problem with standard WordPress setups; you can try to “nudge” the system by going back to Settings > General, clicking “Cancel” next to the pending email address, and re-entering it to trigger a fresh notification. If that fails, the reliable long-term fix is to install a free plugin like WP Mail SMTP, which routes your site’s emails through a trusted service (like Gmail or your host’s SMTP server) to ensure they are authenticated and actually delivered to your inbox.
