I can't sign into my website
-
I have a website for my band and I want to update future shows, and I’m being allowed to do so
-
Hi, @franco300817,
What is the full URL of the site you are trying to sign into?
We can’t do anything to assist without that as a starting place.
Thanks.

Thanks. It looks like the site is using a different account for login.
It looks like the author is likely liverpoolechoband. Try that account.
-
Thanks, I tried with that acct and it tells me that the password is not correct.
The password has never been changed and has always remained the same.
Thanks

It definitely looks like that is the account associated with it. Why not try resetting the password?
As long as you have access to the primary email, you should be good to go. Give that one a try.

I have tried to reset the password and it comes back telling me that I have no website?? NOt sure what the problem is, any other advice on how to access my website?? BTW the website was created by our webmaster who’s name appears on the site. It was not me who created the site, But I have always had access to it to update future shows and media etc
Thanks again for your time

So, first step would be to contact your webmaster to see if any settings were changed.
Have you always accessed it with this (franco300817 ) account? Is there anything on that site that you specifically posted? We might be able to determine what account you used, if it wasn’t this one.
But, I’d check with your webmaster first. :)

Yes, I always had access. I’ve always updated the show dates under the “gigs” menu. I updated that last week……not sure what has happened since then?? I’m just waiting for the webmaster to contact me, but I was hoping to find the fix on my own, as I’m not sure how soon orwhen he will contact me.

First of all, nice music. Listening to it now. :)
Okay, we can tag a staff member to take a look but please confirm the following before we do so:
-The full URL of the site: https://liverpool-echo.com/
– Your account had access last week, but doesn’t now.
– You attempted to do a password reset for your account (franco300817) but it says you don’t have a site.
– There is another individual who is the account owner.
– While you are waiting to hear from the webmaster, you are looking to see if there is any way you can figure it out. -
Thank you for the compliment of the music!
I confirm that all the info above is true.
Thanks

Okay, I tagged staff with the modlook tag. They will let you know if there is anything you can do while waiting to hear from your webmaster.

Hi –
franco300817 does not own or have access to the site in question. To gain access to it, you’ll need to contact the owner directly, this isn’t something that I can do for you.
-
Hello, the issue has been resolved the webmaster failed to update me with the new password………..but for the record I am the owner of the website, the webmaster works for me.
Cheers,
F

Know that the actual owner of any site here is the person with the username account who registered the site under it.
-
I’m not going to get into semantics, but I paid the webmaster to create the site and I pay the annual fee for the website therefore I am the owner the website!
-
@liverpoolechoband, YAY, we had the correct account, initially. That is good. Glad you got in!
