  I am trying to upload a theme my instructor wants us to use in her class, but I keep getting an error message.

  Can you help

  Hi –
  WordPress.com does not support uploading themes. You have to select from the themes available.

  WordPress.org does support the uploading of custom themes.

  Here is more information on the difference between them:

  Are you trying to upload a theme on your blog/site rmillermoorefullsail.wordpress.com ?

  Only Business Plan upgrade allows uploading custom themes at present.
  Read about the plans: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Or may be you are trying to upload theme to your self-hosted site on WordPress.ORG software. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are quite different, you can read the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
