I can’t upload images

First, I pay for wordpress and I’m always told to go to wordpress.org for my answers but guess what?? They NEVER answer questions! I can’t take it anymore. I want some one from here to help me. Here’s my email address… [email address edited – isadora] If you don’t want to help me online here, please help me by email because my site is not working and word press.org is NOT going to help me. BOOK it. I GUARANTEE that they don’t help me. They’re a discraceful service. Here’s my problem, every time I go to upload a picture, I get this..
The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/.zylon/yankeesdaily/yankeesdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03.
What could I do to correct this? and PLEASE don’ tell me to go to wordpress.org, they NEVER help. Just a disgraceful service.

This is the support forum for wordpress.com blogs, we have no access to php code so have no idea of how to help you. And please don’t publish email addresses on this forum. If you don’t want to ask at wordpress.org, maybe you could google the error message you get when uploading.

ok, I’ll try that and guess what? You answered my question in 4 minutes. At word press.org, I asked the question 44 minutes ago and STILL no response. Who do they have working over there? Morons?

We are all volunteers, here and there, there’s no point in getting offensive. I happened to be here, because I’m waiting for the washing machine to get ready, as silly as it may sound.
If I can suggest you something, when you ask for help on a forum be very precise in describing the problem and give as many details as you can, such as: browser/OS you are using, error message text, wordpress version and so on. This will help people to find an answer to your problem and maybe you’ll get an answer. -
If I’m not paying for it, why can’t I ask a question here? Of course I’m paying for it. That’s why I have to ask the question at wordpress.org. two hours ago and they still haven’t answered at wordpress.org.

Well, wordpress is free software and wordpress.com is a free blogging platform. What kind of services are you paying for? Maybe you should ask support there where you are sending your payments.

if it is in a different format, it may not meet security guidelines. wordpress has some difficulties, like sometimes the uploading doesn’t work properly. it is most likely server maitenance. wordpress sometimes shuts down for about 5 minutes, and then works again. it happens… hope this helps.

Plus, you know what? A couple of hours is NOT a long time to wait for an answer on a forum staffed by volunteers. Other people have busy lives, too, you know.

Agreed, ros, but having just seen his rant on another thread, in which he called the .org staff “naturally dumb”, I don’t think he wants to consider your good point, to say nothing of the link provided uptopic.
