I can't use my Domain name that I already own

My domain expires on the 2nd July and I wanted to move it to another site (I didn’t know about domain transfers) so I deleted it a few weeks ago to try and move it. But now it says that the domain is still registered and doesn’t expire until 2nd July but I can’t use it for either of my sites. Please can you help me?

Hi there,
Expired domains are not released immediately, and there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to register it again once it is released – if someone has the domain on back order they’ll get it the moment it becomes available and you will lose it completely. You should only ever cancel a domain if you don’t want to use it at all any more.
It doesn’t look like your domain is in redemption yet, so I should still be able to recover it from our registrar without you needing to pay any additional fees, but I need you to please confirm if I should attempt to un-cancel the domain.
Once it’s restored I can help you map or transfer it to another provider.
