I change image for each blog/episode, and it makes them all the same image

Hi there! I just started using WordPress through Anchor for my podcast, and when I upload an image for one post, but then the other posts change the previous images I’ve set and makes it all one image (the one that I most recently chose) I’ve tried locking the images in, and also updating the site each time I upload a new photo but nothing is working.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I see you have added the Query Loop block to your homepage, which displays a feed of your blog posts. However, when you add an image block to that loop, and set an image for it, that image is used for all blog posts displayed in the loop.

That seems to be the case with what you have set up currently, but it sounds like you would instead like to set up an individual image per post (a “featured image” for that post) so each one is different, yes?

If so to do that you will want to set a “featured image” for each of your blog posts. You can do that by editing each post in the editor, and then looking for the Featured Image setting on the right. https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/

Once you do that you will want to edit the Query Loop block on the homepage to remove the standard image you added, and instead add a “featured image block” in it’s place. This is difficult to explain in words, so I recorded a quick video to show you how to add it.

You can view the at this link: https://d.pr/v/30a6wp

The featured image block will appear blank, but when you set a featured image for each of your blog posts, they will automatically show the correct image for each post.

Once you add the featured image block into your loop, you can unlock the standard image block, which will allow you to delete it.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
