I changed my blog name, and now I want to change it back

    When I was still figuring out wordpress (very new here) I changed my blog from alexiscarlota.wordpress.com to alexiscarlotacochrane.wordpress.com.

    I would like to keep my blog as alexiscarlota.wordpress.com but when I try to change it, it says it’s not available. When I search it online, I am brought to a wordpress page that says it was deleted.

    I don’t want the deleted page, just the “domain”.

    Hi! We’re able to revive a deleted address if you let us know within 30 days of deletion. After that it’s truly unavailable, unfortunately. Sorry about that! You are welcome to use one of our .blog subdomains though if you’d like:

    I would like to recover the address, and it has not been 30 days. I don’t want to recover the edits I made to that website (as the blog is now live on my current wordpress) but I just want that address back. Would I be able to get help with that?

    Hi there,

    To clarify, according to our records the site alexiscarlota.wordpress.com was renamed to alexiscochrane.wordpress.com 6 years ago. We are not able to revive that site or free up the address for a new site.

    Instead you will need to register a custom address like alexiscarlota.com or alexiscarlota.blog (both domains are available) by going here and picking an address: https://wordpress.com/domains/add/
