I changed my domain name. How can I recover it?
-
I have two different free WordPress blogs on two different accounts. I wanted to change the domain name of the blog on this account to the other blog and changed it into something else, but now the name is not available. WordPress Support gives the following warning, which I saw too late:
“Remember that once your domain expires, it can be unavailable for up to 90 days. Once it goes back on the market, anyone can register it. You should never allow a domain to expire unless you are fully done with it and never want to use it again.”
Is there a way to recover my free domain? Or is there a way to get the domain name available again soon? I hope someone can help me out!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @jeroenmirck! Since your domains are on two separate accounts, we were not able to determine which other domain you were referring to.
Can you confirm which domain you were trying to use and on which account?
Were you trying to use the domain on this account?
We’ll try our best to restore the domain. Once restored, the suggested method is to transfer the domain’s ownership between WordPress.com accounts by following this guide:

@jeroenmirck You are referring to a custom domain as you are talking about renaming a free subdomain. When you rename a free wordpress.com site the old name gets locked forever meaning you’ll never be able to use that subdomain ever again. This was very clearly stated when you renamed your free subdomain and you even had to confirm you understood the consequences.
