I changed the email address and now it says I don’t a website
-
Hi, so I changed my email address on the website, as it was originally my Uni email, which had expired. As soon as I verified my email it took me to my profile and suddenly I have no site and no option to edit or anything. I have tried the account recovery, but it says it is linked to another WordPress account, which I have no idea what the login is. The website is still up and operational, but I just can’t access it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
WP.com: Yes

Hi, I don’t see any WordPress.com sites under your account here.
Would you please share the URL of the site you’re trying to access?
Once we know that, we should be able to help or at least direct you to the folks who can.

Hi there, that site belongs to a different account here, not the one you’re currently logged in to.
First, log out of WordPress.com at https://wordpress.com/me and then log back in under the correct account.
If you don’t recall the password for the correct account, we have some options for you at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
Please let us know if you have any more questions!

Hi,
So this is the problem, I thought I changed the website to my only gmail account, but it appears to take me to a WordPress account with no sites on it. As I only have one email I’m at a complete loss of what the email login or username could be.
I have tried the ‘account recovery’, but I can’t answer any of the questions, as I set up the account in 2021 and don’t have any current invoices, and the verification emails I do have aren’t accepted
What I do have is :
– A very expired ‘verify now’ email with the URL on it
– An email from ICANN registering the Domain Name – URL also listedThank you for you again for your continued help

Hello there,

Are you able to locate a transaction ID, this should be present on a bank statement made with a card used with WordPress.com.
This is a good guide on how to locate that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id
– A very expired ‘verify now’ email with the URL on it
Is this a WordPress.com activation email, or a verify domain email?

Hi,
I have looked everywhere and I can’t find it on any bank statements, which is bizarre as I know I remember paying the subscription.
The WordPress email says –
‘Important! Please verify your contact information for neverogersportfolio.com’, which is when I changed it to my current email and I lost the site.
I am not making this easy, sorry :(
Is there no way to find out the email address for the the URL, cause I’m at a complete loss of what it could be now.
Thanks again.
