I clicked on Start Trial. When will my credit card be charged?
-
Why is my credit card charged during the trial? I noticed a hold (not a charge) for $99. I clicked on a button entitled Start Trial; when is the trial over, and when is my credit card charged the $99?

Hey there,
A hold isn’t a charge on your card. It just allows us to know that there is enough money available if you make the transaction.
Your card was charged at the end of your trial for the Premium upgrade on 3/21/2014. If you do not want to keep the upgrade, please let me know as soon as possible so I can cancel it and give you a refund. You have purchased the Premium upgrade for two blogs.
In the future, to view any upgrades you’ve purchased, click Store → My Upgrades in your Dashboard.
Please let me know how you’d like me to proceed. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I understand how the credit card charges work. My question was that there was never any ‘trial’ period- I created the 2 blogs March 21, and then saw the offer to ‘Start Trial’ for the upgrades. It appears there was no ‘trial’, however, because my card was immediately charged (they have moved from hold to full fledged charges, as of today). Did I just purchase upgrades and there really is no trial period? I was under the impression you could trial the upgrades for 14 days. I likely will keep them, I don’t like when I am told I will get a ‘trial’, and then my credit card is charged immediately. Please let me know why I did not get a ‘trial’ in this case.

Hi there,
Thanks for these details.
I am not entirely certain what happened, but regardless, I have pushed your expiration back 2-weeks for both Premium upgrades. Since you didn’t actually intend to make the final decision on March 21, let’s pretend you actually got those free two trials weeks. Your new expiration date is April 4, 2015.
If you’d like me to look further into this issue, could you please send us the email confirming your 2-week Trial of the Premium services? I can research this issue further for you that way. You can forward the email(s) to us directly.
Please reference ticket #406145-f in your subject line.
Thanks much! Please let me know if I can help further.
