One universal way to add a link to a blog is to use the HTML tag for links. Here’s how: (note that I am adding a * symbol to break the code so you can see how it looks; when you try it out yourself, make sure not to use the * like I have below)
The opening tag (letting WP know you wish to link to a site) is <*A HREF=””> and the closing tag is <*/A>. All you need to do is put your link in the quotation marks after HREF and put the text you want to display between the tags:
For example, to link someone to http://emars01.wordpress.com/ with the text “Come visit egorden’s blog”, I would type:
<*A HREF=”http://emars01.wordpress.com/”>Come visit egorden’s blog<*/A>.
The benefit of knowing how to create HTML links is that you can use them pretty much anywhere: WordPress blogs, Facebook, Twitter, other forums, etc. It’s definitely worth taking two or three minutes to learn.

When you comment your username is already linked to your blog. Do NOT get into placing additional links into your comments in an effort to drive traffic to your own blog. That’s very bad form and many of us have set our commenting policies and our blogs up to send all comments stuffed with links to the spam filter.

Once you understand that every time you comment your username is linked to your primary blog and you avoid any opportunistic link dropping in comments you will do just fine. I suggest you use the step by step learn WordPress.com blogging tutorial Staff have linked to the bottom of our Admin pages http://learn.wordpress.com

This is the guide for creating links in posts and pages: http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/
This is the general link model:
<a href="URL HERE">Highlighted anchor text here</a>
This is the visual result – it’s not actually linked.
Highlighted anchor text here1. Enter the anchor text you want to link to first.
2. Then use your mouse to highlight that anchor text. (If you don’t highlight the anchor text the chain icon will remain grayed out and not be useable.)
3. Next click the chain icon in the editor and proceed to create the link.More on creating links here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/05/20/creating-html-hyperlinks-links-in-wordpress/
