I continue to be logged in !

    Even after i successfully log out of my email address and my WordPress profile, I continue to stay logged in. For, example, any stranger on any computer can access my posts by googling it and read. so far so good. but, if the stranger goes to ABOUT on my posts, he/she can edit existing posts and add new posts. This is scary because as soon as a stranger types in my user name, the password directly appears and they instantly log in. Help! Why are others able to log on and change my posts?

    Hello @liberatee!

    Hope you’ve been able to work out what the problem was regarding logging in and out of your WordPress site.

    In case you haven’t, there are a couple of issues at play here …

    First, your site is publicly visible so anyone on the Internet who finds the URL can access the site. If this is not what you want, you can change your privacy settings:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

    Second, it sounds like you may have your browser set to remember your username and password. Changing this setting will depend on the browser you use and possibly the operating system. In Firefox, for on Ubuntu for example go to Edit > Preferences > Security and then uncheck “Remember passwords for sites”.
