  I created a blog instead of a website, how do I change this?

  Unfortunately this doesn’t help as everytime I press get started it’s only allowing me to create the blog and not the website. Thanks, any other ideas??

  Yeah it says get started with a blog but you can eventually change the blog to website by making the changes suggested in the above support document and picking a relevant theme. You can find all the themes here: http://theme.wordpress.com/

  Yes, you follow the instructions anyway.

  A blog IS a website. What people mean by “website” is just a particular configuration of elements in web space. So is a blog. So, just register one and configure it like a website.
