I created a domain name but cannot use it.

  Hello all,

  I created a domain name for my website
  championhi.org

  When I type in http://www.championhi.org it takes me to https://championhi.wordpress.com/

  How do I make the http://www.championhi.org the default and select a theme for the site?

  Hi there. At the moment those two sites are the same. The custom domain is laid over your free WordPress.com address, so if anyone visits your site they’ll only see http://championhi.org/ in their browsers. But you’ll manage your site from the WordPress.com URL’s dashboard, here: https://championhi.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  You can activate any of the free or premium themes listed here: https://wordpress.com/themes/

  If you don’t want to use that domain with WordPress.com, but that you want to set up a self-hosted site instead, you’ll need to move your domain to another host, and then install the WordPress.ORG software, as well as either a free or premium WordPress.org theme, to that domain. The WordPress.org support site lists several hosting providers that specifically supports the WordPress.org software.
