I created widgets but when I add a page they do not show up.

  Hi there. I just went to widgets and set them up, but when I go to create pages my widgets do not appear in the sidebars. I want to add text to my static homepage, with the widgets there too, but have no idea how.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey there,

  I can see you have two pages published: http://somafrazier.wordpress.com/about/ and http://somafrazier.wordpress.com/events/

  These pages seem to have the Search, Recent Posts and Recent Comments appearing at the side – is this what you’d expect?

  With regard to a static homepage, currently you are showing posts on your homepage, but to make a static homepage you can follow the guide here:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
