I deleted a menu option but it keeps appearing on my blog

    I created several menu options for my blog, but decided that I didn’t need one of the options ‘home’ because I wanted to show my blog post feed instead of a home page so I have deleted it. It shows as deleted on my ‘pages’ section when I look at my dashboard, however whenever I click onto a blog post my menu at the top defauts back to showing ‘home’ as a menu option. When I click on it the page shows the following message ‘Oops! That page can’t be found. It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try another search term?’ PLEASE could someone help, I’m really new to website building even with a template. Thank you :-)

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I checked http://zoebeautyblog.com/ and it looks like you switched themes to solve the problem. I’m not sure what was happening before, but based on your description it sounds like you had a stray menu item in a custom menu that needed to be removed.

    I love the hand written blog name in the header image. Looks great!

    Thank you so much for replying, I’ve actually sorted it out but yes you were right. I’m having quite a few problems trying to get the logo sorted out, is there any way to change the size of it and remove the massive gap between the logo and the header menu? Zoe x

    Certainly. Also, here’s a trick that I used often to help me visualize different block elements and how much space they’re taking. I just put a dashed border around the element while I’m in preview mode so I can get a better idea of what I’m working with. Here is an example:

    #site-nav {
      border: 1px dashed red;
    }

    Then add this to remove all the padding from that element:

    #site-nav {
      padding: 0;
    }

    Then delete the dashed border rule before saving the change, or adjust as necessary and then save.
