I deleted a site but it still says its not available

  Deleted site because it was associated with an account I don’t want (I wanted to use the same site under a different account) – but I can reestablish the site because it says the name is still in use. Would have helped if I could have just deleted the account but I spent hours to discover this isn’t possible – about to give up on WordPress :(

  Hi there. I feel bad telling you this since you’re already pretty frustrated by the situation. But, once you delete a site, it is gone forever. There is no way anybody can get it back, even you as the original owner.

  Delete a Website

  For reference, if you end up in the same situation, the best way to consolidate multiple sites under one account is to transfer the sites to the account you want.
