  i deleted my blog instead of transferring the name so someone else can use it. I thought that if you delete the blog, the name would be free’d up, but now no-one can use it!
  blog was http://www.crumblescastle.wordpress.com it was just an experiment, now the charity wants to set up a proper site using http://www.crumblescastle.org

  I’m sorry, but deleted blogs cannot be restored or reused. Deleting a blog is permanent and the name cannot be used again.

  With any blog, you can also use your custom domain with Domain Mapping upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/
