I deleted my blog on accident.

I deleted my blog on accident. The blog was for a class at U of L and I am unfamiliar with wordpress. I didn’t mean to delete it. Is there any way to get this information back? I am so sorry and I am kind of freaking out because it is time sensitive. Please help if you can! The blog was called Social Media Revolution: From Ten Years Ago to Today.

To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/However, the good news is that you can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

The blog http://amandadawnroberson.wordpress.com/ is alive and well with one Post
If you made a Post and it disappeared, look in the various trash folders. Your blog is only a week old so getting the Post from a search engine cache would be a tough sell
Dashboard >> Posts >> see if anything is still in the trash folder

I deleted the blog post because I had changed the name of the title and it hadn’t updates. So I for some reason thot it was a differnt draft. But itngot rid of the published post

If you did not permanently delete the post then you can restore the post from Trash http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash
You can edit the publication date on any post in the Publish module and then click “update” Doing that after it’s published means the first URL will become a broken link ie. 404 (page not found).
After you restore it to edit the Post go to > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts and hover over the post title then click “edit”. Then you will be able to edit the title, post slug and the date http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/
I know you aren’t scheduling posts but pictures ware helpful. See the images here so you know what you have to change.

Look at the top of your page here, see if the Post is still in the Trash folder – takes a while for the trash to be taken out

You be welcome & good luck with your new blog
many people use an offline editor to write Posts / Pages then upload the content to your blog, that leave a copy on your PC, Windows live writer is popular for PC’s
I sometimes use Open Office for writing then paste the content into the Post using the paste text
I paste in with the text box (the “T” to the left of the “W” box in the link above)
