I deleted my domain – can I get it back? How long does it stay parked?
-
I bought postalanswers.net as a domain and then canceled it. It’s been over 48 hours. I assume I can’t get it back?
If I don’t, how long will it remain parked? How long will it be until I can get it back?
Thanks.

If you cancelled the domain then you no longer own it. WordPress.com will most likely own it now at least until it expires next year. If you wanted to use it somewhere else rather than at WordPress.com you should have kept ownership here and then transferred it after 60 days.

@ramblingritland, these domains were cancelled well after their 48 hour window, so they would remain parked for quite a while before they could be released.
With your permission, though, we can likely restore the domains to your account. You’ll be able to change their settings to point them to other nameservers or IP address. And, after 60 days from registration you can transfer to a new registrar.
Do you want us to go ahead and restore both domains?

I have restored both domains to your account.
If you want to use them with another host, you can point them to your host using DNS for now, and then you can completely transfer them away once the transfer lock is lifted around 9 June.
You can find instructions for all the different options here:

@ramblingritland do you see my reply above? I restored both your domains twenty minutes before your most recent comment, and they’re already active in your account again.
