I deleted my plan with my domain but it was with GoDaddy, can I recover it?

Hi, I’ve cancled my wordpress plan because im moving over to adobe portfolio. My domain name was originally with GoDaddy but i transferred it to my wordpress plan, which I have now deleted.

I see that GoDaddy still has my domain and I’ve changed the DNS settings to match the new web hosting platform im using now but I’m recieving this message:

‘You can’t get there from here (site_id mismatch error). This happens when an external blog (a self-hosted blog using the Stats plugin) is pointed to WordPress.com by DNS. If you are trying to migrate away from WordPress.com, please update your DNS to point the domain to your own server. Otherwise please contact WordPress.com support and explain what you were trying to do, what steps you took, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened. It’s probably Andy’s fault.’

does anyone know why? does it take time for the DNS settings to kick in? or has wordpress taken over my domain name?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

It can take up to 72 hours for DNS settings to take effect. Please try after a while and let us know if you’re still having trouble.
