I deleted my site and unsubscribed

  I had registered my domain name through WordPress and had the premium plan, but I decided I wanted to switch hosting sites. When I deleted my site and unsubscribed from my plan, my domain name is now parked and I am trying to use the same domain name I created. But it says my domain is “Parked.” How do I unregister it so I can use it with another host? I thought if deleting my website and unsubscribing it would unregister my custom domain name.
